Troubleshooting

Quick Checks

Complete destination

Confirm the destination begins with https:// or http://.

Active link

Check that the short link is active and its destination still opens.

Verified domain

Custom slugs require a verified custom domain. DNS changes may take time to propagate.

Normal browser visit

Preview and prefetch requests may be excluded from privacy-conscious analytics.

Common questions

Try These Answers First

Why must my destination include https://?

A complete URL tells the service which web protocol to use. Enter addresses such as https://www.example.com/page, not www.example.com/page.

Why can’t I enter a custom slug?

The default app domain uses automatically generated slugs. Select a verified custom domain to use a custom slug.

Why is an automation action asking me to upgrade?

Workflow actions are enabled on eligible paid plans. Visit the plans page to compare features.

Why is my domain still pending?

Check the DNS record carefully and allow time for DNS propagation. HTTPS is provisioned automatically after successful verification.
